Register ASAP
Mail & Drop Box Voting
One month before election day is the ideal time to request your absentee ballot. Or better yet, ASAP. No, seriously, like right now.
By 8 p.m. on election day (in most cases) your ballot must be received by your city or township clerk. So put your ballot in the mail no later than two weeks prior to election day. The sooner the better.
Missed the mailing deadline? Never fear … you can still be a Drop Box Voter, and Early In Person Voter, or an Election Day Voter!
40 days prior to an election and up to 8 p.m. on election day, drop boxes are accessible 24/7. Click here to find drop box locations near you.
In-Person Voting
For at least 9 consecutive days up until the Sunday before election day, you can vote early-in-person. Click here to find early voting locations near you.
- State Primary Election guaranteed early voting: Saturday, July 27, 2024 up until Sunday, August 4, 2024
- General Election guaranteed early voting: Saturday, October 26, 2024 up until Sunday, November 3, 2024
Up to 29 days before the election some communities decide to provide additional days of early voting.
State Primary Election Day: August 6, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. You have the right to vote if you are in line by 8 p.m. Click here to find your official polling place.
State General Election Day: November 5, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. You have the right to vote if you are in line by 8 p.m. Click here to find your official polling place.

Who’s Behind MIVoted?
It’s raining democracy in the Mitten State, and we’re really excited to tell everyone about it. We joined forces with a bunch of local nonprofits, conceptualized this awareness campaign, and dubbed it “MIVoted”. Together, we’re apolitical, nonpartisan, no funny business, no secret agenda. The MIVoted campaign is really just a mission to …
Proactively inform Michigan voters – especially voters from historically marginalized communities – about their new constitutionally enshrined voting options thanks to Prop 2 and assist as many voters as possible in deciding which option is right for themselves and the people in their lives.
Empower voters with all necessary information to make their vote a reality. In this economy? Exercising your right to vote needs to be as convenient and drama-free as possible, for all of us.
Help reinforce the new statewide energy that all four voting methods are equally easy, patriotic, and trustworthy. There’s no good or bad way to vote; it’s just about finding what method suits you best.
Create something artful, memorable, and cool enough to be worth sharing. We want to joyfully celebrate the power of expanded voting rights in what’s sure to be another tiring election year.
Inspire a new standard for democracy so that, like Michigan, every state in America makes voting convenient and drama-free for voters. Our goal is to lead the way and show other states why they, too, should pass a law like Prop 2.
